At The German American Club our community of volunteers is everything. Whether you're a new or long-time member, we have several active groups that support the club. Everyone is always welcome to participate.
The Ladies Auxiliary supports general activities of the club and serves the interests of the women of the club. They also organize and assist in planning several events for the youngest members of GAC.
The Germanic Heritage Auxiliary was founded in April, 1991, as the Kentuckiana Germanic Heritage Society, an independent ethnic heritage organization. KGHS merged with the German- American Club Gesangverein to become the Germanic Heritage Auxiliary on January 1, 2002.
Harmonie hält uns zusammen! The choir is at the heart of our club, and we are proud to be Louisville’s oldest singing society since 1878. We are, after all, the German-American Club Gesangverein, which translates to choral society.
