The program will award scholarships in the amount of $2000 to students who intend to study the German language or to study any discipline at an accredited institute of higher learning in German speaking Europe. The GAC intends for awardees to gain a deeper appreciation of the language and the culture and to return committed to sharing it with others. While not exclusively for members of the GAC, their children, grandchildren etc, the program will give preference to those who are. This program is in addition to the club-funded James Boeckman Scholarship at the University of Louisville.
